Treasure Found: Beach Ball Sprinkler

We find it and try it before you go out and buy it

Find It

One of our favorite treasure finds this week is a Beach Ball Sprinkler by Little Tykes that we scored for $.75. This inflatable beach ball is hooked up to a hose to transform into a sprinkler. We haven’t had a lot of luck in the sprinkler department before because they tend to have too harsh of a spray that the girls don’t enjoy playing in, but for less than a dollar, we had to give it a try.

Try It

We found this item at a garage sale as they were packing up. The gal we bought it from had said her kids enjoyed it for a few years so we weren’t sure how it would hold up or if it would inflate but she threw in a few other free items just to avoid packing it back in the house. The girls were excited and tried convincing us to inflate it in the car, but since it wouldn’t fit with two car seats and a ton of other finds, we chose to ignore their insistence …and boy were they persistent! Needless to say we had to try it out as soon as we got out of the car, crossing our fingers that it would inflate.

Not only did it inflate easily but it hooked right up to our hose securely. Unfortunately, when Dad turned on the water he added a little too much pressure and it popped the plastic hose connection in half, soaking both Mom and the camera much to the girl’s delight. We had to pull out the hose but once we examined the piece we noticed it was a pretty clean split so he grabbed the duct tape and fixed it enough to hold the hose. We restarted the hose, much slower this time, and it worked perfectly! It’s a gentle enough stream that both girls enjoyed running back and forth through it and our eldest told us that it made the perfect mermaid shower.

Would we buy it?

Despite the initial split connection, it seems like a very durable piece – just make sure to add the water pressure slowly. It’s gentle enough for our one year old to run through it without issue and it has the ability to spray faster and farther for the older kids. We would definitely recommend this to others!

Buy it (or something similar)

    Hello ,

I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.

I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive.
Can you recommend something what works best for you?

Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)

I have subscribed to your newsletter. πŸ™‚

Hope to hear from you soon.

    P.S.
Maybe I will add link to your website on my website and you will add link to my website on your website? It will improve SEO of our websites, right? What do you think?

    Regards
    Jan Zac
